The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for the procurement of goods and services for all departments to meet the business need. The incumbent raises orders to coordinate an on-time supply chain to required standards e.g., ISO 13485.
The role is offered as a fixed term contract of approx 9 months.
Role Description:
Data input, raising purchase orders and ensuring stock is delivered on time across UK and US sites.
Ensure orders are costed to the correct cost centre, approved and sent to suppliers in a timely manner to meet business needs.
Coordinating the communication of planned deliveries with internal stakeholders and proactively handling back orders or delays with external suppliers.
Support the procurement team within the organisation.
General administrative duties, including but not limited to; goods in and receipts, scanning and filing, raising PO, liaising with suppliers, monitoring open orders, ensuring delivery and coordinate with finance to ensure invoices are paid.
Monitor open orders
Ensure IFS is accurate and up to date, this may include data cleansing
Run reports in the system
Put together data and metrics as required
Ensuring invoices are submitted and paid in accordance with supplier terms, adhering to any accounting requirements on an order-by-order basis.
Undertake general administrative duties as required.
Provide project support where required.

Role Requirements:
Experience and requirements:
Qualified to at least A’ Level or equivalent
Pharmaceutical, Medical device or diagnostics industry background beneficial
Previous experience working with suppliers beneficial
Familiarity with Quality System Requirements including ISO and cGMP

Clear communication across all levels and across disciplines
Ability to manage time and multiple tasks effectively
Excellent attention to detail
