The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for the procurement of goods and services for all departments to meet the business need. The incumbent raises orders to coordinate an on-time supply chain to required standards e.g., ISO 13485.

The role is offered as a fixed term contract of approx 9 months.

Role Description:

  • Data input, raising purchase orders and ensuring stock is delivered on time across UK and US sites.

  • Ensure orders are costed to the correct cost centre, approved and sent to suppliers in a timely manner to meet business needs.

  • Coordinating the communication of planned deliveries with internal stakeholders and proactively handling back orders or delays with external suppliers.

  • Support the procurement team within the organisation.

  • General administrative duties, including but not limited to; goods in and receipts, scanning and filing, raising PO, liaising with suppliers, monitoring open orders, ensuring delivery and coordinate with finance to ensure invoices are paid.

  • Monitor open orders

  • Ensure IFS is accurate and up to date, this may include data cleansing

  • Run reports in the system

  • Put together data and metrics as required

  • Ensuring invoices are submitted and paid in accordance with supplier terms, adhering to any accounting requirements on an order-by-order basis.

  • Undertake general administrative duties as required.

  • Provide project support where required.

Role Requirements:

Experience and requirements:

  • Qualified to at least A’ Level or equivalent

  • Pharmaceutical, Medical device or diagnostics industry background beneficial

  • Previous experience working with suppliers beneficial

  • Familiarity with Quality System Requirements including ISO and cGMP
