We are currently seeking an IT Technical Specialist to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a support role, located at our UK Cambridge office. This position is primarily focused on supporting the local Cambridge office, although it will also cover remote support for other sites across Europe.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve incidents across a range of platforms, including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, O365, IOS and Android.

  • Effectively assist users with IT related incidents and escalate where required.

  • Interact and consult with Level 1 Service Desk.

  • Accurately record, update, and create documentation, both inside and outside of the service desk.

  • Install, upgrade, and configure IT hardware.

  • Configure and support mobile devices.

  • Support and configure meeting room audio visual equipment.

  • Support and maintain IT equipment within laboratories.

  • Resolve incidents with printers, copiers, and scanners.

  • Maintain a first-class level of customer service, ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.

  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.

  • Good knowledge around IT infrastructure and networks.

  • Able to work effectively and deliver on tight deadlines.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Proven problem-solving skills.

  • A highly motivated team player with the skills and ability to manage changing priorities under pressure.
