Field Application Specialist provide a focal point, expert application support to the EMEAI organizations and customers within a defined Product Line. They act as an interface between Sales and the Market Development Leaders as well as to the service, Support, R&D and Quality. 

This position will support EMEAI for our RRD Product Line (Liquid Scintillation/Radiometric Detectors).


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the Country\Regional application Leaders of the EMEAI Territories in terms of application escalations support, training requirements and support.

  • Coordinate with the local application Leaders on process, action plan and resourcing to provide proper customer support as required.

  • Coordinate with the Market Development Leaders on future applications needed to support the market.

  • Act as the primary interface with the Segments for major new application developments.

  • Act as the primary interface with the Segment Leaders and Service Experts to share field experience, voice of the customers and voice of the field.

Technical Knowledge Management

  • FAS provides feedback to the Learning Excellence Function and FAS Leaders on Technical Training requirements coming from the assessment on the field of current competences vs market trends and customer requirements.

  • is responsible for the training execution for the products in own line of excellence and for ensuring advanced preparation to the moment of NPI launches on the market.

Customer Experience and Business Focus

  • FAS understands the business proposition of new training and instrument add-ons to existing contracts with the Sales Team.

  • Through a field partnership with FAS consolidate professional relationships with key customers and monitor potential client needs for services and products. Report opportunities to the Applications FAS Leader who will coordinate with Sales Representatives focused business actions.


Requested Competences

  • In depth knowledge on liquid scintillation counting, gamma counting, radiation chemistry.

  • PhD or master’s degree with experience in a relevant field of study.

  • Recognized experience in customer and business focused activities.

  • Having German RSO (radiation safety officer) certificate is a plus.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Excellent collaboration and organizational skills.

  • Act as a champion of problem-solving, role modeling the highest level of customer commitment with high level value in technical expertise.

  • Ability to design, lead and execute internal and external trainings on technical field of excellence.

  • Fluent in English and German.

  • Availability to travel internationally up to 40/50%.

  • Preferred location, Hamburg, Germany.
