We are looking for a Financial Accounting Manager (m/w/d) who will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance daily, weekly, and yearly accounting operations in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures.

Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain the financial ledger in compliance with Group Accounting Policy (HGB & U.S. GAAP) local tax codes and government regulations.

  • Book journals such as accruals, fixed assets, stock/inventory, accounts receivables, revenues, accounts payables, expenses in compliance with accounting policy.

  • Ensure accuracy of GL accounting and all financial reports, timely account reconciliations

  • Conduct regular balance sheet, P&L reviews and variance analyses, coordination of monthly close activities.

  • Oversee invoicing process, ensure consistent application of revenue recognition and extension of customer credit Management of AP & AR, timely collections of customer payments and accurate payments of vendor accounts.

  • Manage the process of statutory account filing, including local entity management of the audit process.

  • Provide financial training, mentoring and guidance within the finance team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years’ experience in corporate finance or accounting, experience in the Life Sciences and/or Biotech industry is strongly preferred,

  • Very good understanding of US GAAP

  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (verbal and written)

  • Ability to communicate, partner, and influence both cross-functionally and in a matrixed environment.

  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

  • Developed presentation skills in financial data, pay attention to detail and accuracy of information.
