Frontend Developer (ReactJS)
We are looking for new team members to join us in delivering new feature requirements and continuously improving user experience for Signals Notebook. You will join the Shanghai development team as a frontend developer and work closely with the global R&D team to iteratively deliver new product capabilities.
Signals Notebook is a powerful cloud-native Electronic Laboratory Notebook for multidisciplinary collaboration and scientifically intelligent data management. It has been widely adopted by leading pharmaceutical companies to plan experiments, record data, enable collaboration, and search data for their new drug R&D process. Customers can also leverage other products in our Signals Research platform to analyze their data.
We are the developers of ChemDraw, the industry-standard chemical drawing software. Over the past 30 years, ChemDraw and our traditional desktop E-Notebook products have accumulated a huge customer base. Born with excellent genes, our cloud-native product Signals Notebook has passed SOC 2 Type 2 audit in 2020 with the collective efforts of our global team. You will have the opportunity to join such an outstanding team to build such an excellent product.
Basic Requirements
- Good communication skills in English and Chinese
- Excellent ability for continuous learning
- Solid coding foundations and good coding style
- Familiar with popular frontend development tools and frameworks, basic knowledge in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP APIs
- Real product development experience with ReactJS is preferred
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers and product managers to create neat, easy-to-use, and nice user experiences for scientific researchers (end users)
- Work with the R&D team to deliver new features, refine existing functions, and fix product defects
- Demonstrate new product features to stakeholders during product development
- Explore potential applications of new technologies in the product with global R&D teams
You will be exposed to the following:
- Popular front-end development tools and frameworks like ReactJS, Redux, Saga, Bootstrap, Sass, Node.js, Webpack, etc.
- Development processes and code management for large web applications
- Popular UI/UX design concepts and collaboration tools
- Domain knowledge in chemistry, biology, pharmaceutical R&D
- Web application development and operations based on AWS
- Big data processing and visualization technologies
