The Cloud Operations FinOps Analyst – AWS will report to & support Cloud FinOps- Manager & work with a wide range of stakeholders to promote a culture of cost accountability and awareness for Revvity's cloud consumption within the Informatics Business Unit. Key areas the role will support include financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting, showback/chargeback, and vendor management assessment.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain reports and KPIs that provide detailed usage statistics of resources across the multi cloud landscape
  • Develop Show Back, Charge Back, Cost Allocation, and budget forecast models utilizing AWS specific toolset
  • Financial oversight and management of Cloud operating budgets and/or chargeback to customers
  • Work on cost optimization opportunities and partner with cloud team to resolve
  • Managing cost abnormalities alerts when costs are higher than expected within a billing cycle
  • Develop and administer reporting and tracking system of all TCO/economic related activities
  • Tracking commercial cost analytics with Third Party cloud vendors.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in financial or operational analysis
  • Basic knowledge of AWS Cloud services, Cost Explorer, and AWS billing semantics (CUR (Cost and Usage Report) report, AWS Invoice process, Reserved Instances, Savings)
  • Experience with MS Office – Excel, VBA, PPT, Word & Power BI/Tableau required, Python skills can be good add-on but not necessary.
  • Experience in financial modeling and analysis of cloud related spend
  • Willingness to research and self-study to keep financial & data analysis skills relevant in a highly complex environment
  • Innovative and ability to think freely for creative problem solving
  • Comfortable working in a cross functional and multidisciplinary environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines
